6AL-2SN-4ZR-2MO (6-2-4-2) TITANIUM

6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo Titanium popularly known as 6-2-4-2 Titanium. This alpha-beta titanium alloy can be heat treated to produce higher strengths in larger section sizes than 6Al-4V. Widely used in manufacturing components. 6-2-4-2 beta-forged material has improved strength, ductility, and a combination of good low-cycle fatigue and fatigue-crack development resistance. This alloy found in turbine engine intermediate compressor stages for disks and blades, seals and airframe parts.
